Although it’s tempting to keep wearing your beautiful face paint forever, the time will come to wash it off. That’s part of the magic of face painting. It’s like cutting into a beautifully decorated cake. There is something wonderful about a person creating art that isn’t meant to last. Deep, isn’t it? 🙂
To remove face paint, follow these steps.
- Wipe your face with a warm, wet washcloth or towel. If you are worried about stains, use paper towels.
- Wash your face with baby shampoo. It’s important to use a soap that is “tear free” so you don’t irritate your eyes.
- If any color remains, rub lotion into the area and wait a few minutes. Wash your face again.
- Blues and greens can be particularly stubborn. I find that applying lotion and washing the next day usually gets everything off.
